May 7, 7-8:30pm Concert-Conference: HOMAGE TO ALBERTO RABAGLIATI M.D. Alfredo Bonavera Alberto Rabagliati (1906- 1974), the super-star of Italian song and Italian radio, and the creator of "Swing made in Italy" did not start as a singer. Competing against 2 million men, he won the world-wide contest as a Rudolph Valentino look-alike, landed in Hollywood and then started a singing career as band-vocalist with the Lecuona Cuban Boys. Years later he had his own radio show in Italy creating some sort of mass hysteria among his feminine fans. His hits include "Ma l'amore no", "Mattinata fiorentina", "Ba-Ba-Baciami Piccina", and "Bambina innamorata".
